Grieving
March 11, 2019

With heavy hearts, our family is mourning the loss of my sister-in-law, Carmen Irma Gomez Moran Aycock. She was killed on March 3rd by the tornado that destroyed her home in Beauregard, AL. Carmen was a kind, intelligent, beautiful person, an avid animal lover, and a wonderful wife and mother. We know heaven has received another glorious angel, but she will be greatly missed. We are all heartbroken over her loss. Particularly her husband, Cameron, and her two daughters.

Cameron and his youngest stepdaughter were both severely injured, and continue to recover in the ICU. I learned late Monday that Carmen had been killed, but the family was asked not to speak publicly about Carmen's death until all of her family members could be notified. Thank you for understanding why I continued to remain silent out of respect to Carmen and her family.

Words cannot express how incredibly grateful I and the entire family are for the thousands of messages and posts you have sent to us during this difficult time. Your outpouring of love and continued prayers has been so overwhelmingly appreciated. Please continue to keep Cameron and his stepdaughters in your prayers, and send them love and positive thoughts. They lost everything in the tornado, and have a long road to recovery. If you would like to contribute to their recovery, the family has set up a Go Fund Me page.

Thank you again, and may God bless you all!
